Kuusakoski US LLC values its customers and is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.  We understand that keeping your financial and personal information secure and confidential is critical to earning and keeping your trust.  It is important that you know that your trust is paramount to us.

This Privacy Policy covers any of your personal information obtained by Kuusakoski.  If we make any changes, we will post the new policy here, with a new “Last Modified:” date. 

This Policy applies to Kuusakoski’s collection, use, storage, and transfer of information associated with Kuusakoski’s sites, including www.kuusakoski.us, (“Site”). 

Personal Information

“Personal information” is information that can be associated with a specific person and could be used to identify that specific person whether from that data or from that data and other information that Kuusakoski has or is likely to have access to.  We do not consider personal information to include information that has been made anonymous or aggregated so that it can no longer be used to identify a specific person, whether in combination with other information or otherwise.

Information We Collect

Information Collected Directly From You

During a vising to our Site, you may provide us with information that uniquely identifies you including personal information such as names, postal and email addresses, or telephone numbers.  We also receive your personal information when you sign up, access, or update your online account, access products or services you hold with us, update your records, or voluntarily submit other information to us.  We may also receive your information from our related companies who contract with us to supply you with products and/or services.

We use the contact information (including your name, company address, job title, company name, email addresses) you provide to send information about products or services that may be of interest to you or that are requested by you (from us or our related companies).  We may keep your contact information for an additional year from the last time you contact us in order to send you materials on new and related products and services to those you purchased or requested information about, but you can opt out of these communications by following the directions found in the communications. 

We collect your email address and your password when you create an account on our Site and use that information to confirm your identity when you log in to your account. We also collect your email address if you indicate on our Site that you would like to receive additional information about us our products or our services and use that email address to send you that information.  We will keep your account information (including your name, login, and account preferences) for as long as you have an account with us to allow us to verify your identity and to provide you with the account information you request.  In addition, we may retain personal information from closed accounts to comply with national laws, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigation, enforce our agreements with you and take other actions permitted or required by applicable laws.

Our Sites are not directed to children under age 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16.  Children under 16 should not provide their personal information to us through our Sites, to customer service, or in writing.  If we learn that user information belonging to anyone under the age of 16 is stored on the Site, we will immediately delete such information and refrain from using it for any purpose.

Information Collected Automatically From You

Social Media:  You may choose to log into the Site via various social media or social networking services or friend our social media or social networking accounts.  By doing so, we can use these social networking services to provide you with a richer and more personalized experience with our products and services.  We receive no information from social media or social network sites and do not collect or view any other information about you found there. 

Third-party social medial, social networking, and other linked sites are not under the control of Kuusakoski and Kuusakoski is not responsible for the contents of any linked site, including the privacy policies or tracking technologies they may use.  We encourage you to check the applicable privacy policy to determine how they will handle any personal information they collect from you.

Navigational Information:  When you visit our Site, we automatically collect information related to how you got to the Site, such as browser type and version, service-provider identification, the Site from which you came, the site to which you navigate after leaving our Site, and the country from which you are accessing the Site.  We do not collect your IP address or any other information that could be used to identify you.  We use the information we collect about your browsing on the Site to make sure that the Site and its associated parts are functioning properly and that the Site is displayed properly for your equipment and software.

Cookies:  This Site is also set up to install “cookies” on your computer to allow the Site to recognize users, customize their experience, or target marketing.  A cookie is a small text file that a website’s server places on a user’s computer, mobile phone, or other device.  The cookie provides information to the website’s server about the browsing activities of the user.  Cookies can also be used to recognize users and maintain data related to a particular individual, including passwords. 

We use cookies to provide the following services on our Site:

  • A cookie that is kept only for as long as you’re on the Site allows our partner, to store information about your browsing session to monitor the functions of the Site
  • A cookie that lasts for 30 minutes from your last visit to the Site tracks the number of visitors to our Site
  • A cookie that expires at midnight of the day after your last visit to the Site tracks the number of times a particular user visits the Site
  • A cookie that lasts for two weeks stores information about products you place in the Site’s cart to allow those products to be placed their again if you leave without purchasing and return
  • A cookie that is permanently stored on your computer used to remember your password

We also use cookies and our vendor, Vision Friendly, to better your experience with the Site.  Vision Friendly hosts our Site.  Vision Friendly utilizes the data collected from our Site, through cookies and similar technology, to track and examine the use of the Site, to prepare reports on these activities, and share them with us.  The information Vision Friendly collects is anonymous and cannot be used to identify a particular user.  We use these cookies and the Vision Friendly information to improve the delivery and performance of our Site by:

  • Better presenting advertisements, products, and/or services of interest to you.

We have legitimate business interests in using your information to perform certain activities for you and on your behalf and in advertising our business and products to you.  We use your Personal Information to further these legitimate business interests.  We use your name, your business’ name and address, your telephone number and email address to transact business with you or for related companies working for you (orders, requests for information about our products and services, etc.) and to otherwise serve you as a customer.

We may use your name, address, and email address to communicate with you about our products and services we believe you might find of interest and to administer promotions, surveys, contests and sweepstakes in which you might participate.

We also use the information automatically collected about you during your use of the website, as described above, to improve the effectiveness of our website, operations, mobile experience, or marketing efforts or as described elsewhere in this policy, to prevent against fraud and theft, and otherwise to protect our Site visitors and our business.

Our marketing efforts include the use of Vision Friendly analytics as described above.

Our employees and agents may view your personal information to perform their jobs and service your needs. We authorize access to your personal information to them on a need-to-know basis to provide you with our products or services to you, or for one of the other reasons listed in this section.

Sharing Your Personal Information

If another company acquires our company, business, or assets, that company will possess the personal information collected by us and will assume the rights and obligations regarding your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. In the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership, Personal Information may also be transferred as a business asset.

We may share aggregate, non-individual information, incapable of identifying a particular person, with third parties for lawful purposes.

California Privacy Rights

There are “do not track” or similar browser choices available to internet users with respect to online web activity.  This Site does not currently respond to “do not track” signals.  Given the present lack of consensus of what constitutes an informed election, appropriate trigger or breadth of scope of such choice, our Site will not operate any differently when a “do not track” signal is received.

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to request and receive certain information about a company’s disclosure of your personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing use, and your choices with respect to such disclosures.  Our Sites do not authorize the collection of personal information by third-parties except as provided in this Privacy Policy.

You may be able to post content to Social Networking Sites (such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat or Twitter) on which we maintain a presence. If you choose to do this, we will provide information to the Social Networking Sites in accordance with your elections. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for your use of those websites and that it is your responsibility to review the terms of use and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, products or services of such Social Network Sites.

Kuusakoski is a US business with operations located only in the United States.  We take great care to ensure that the privacy and security of your personal information is maintained and protected properly, including requiring the deletion of your information from our (or our partners’) systems where required.  This Privacy Policy governs the information collected by Kuusakoski, including information collected at this Site irrespective of where you’re located when you access it, browse it, interact with it, or make purchases through it (including those that are shipped outside the US).  This means that your personal information may be stored outside of the province, state, and/or country in which you reside to the US and processed by us, an affiliate, or a third-party service provider as described in this Policy.  Moreover, government bodies that have jurisdiction (e.g., courts and law enforcement agencies) may be entitled to access your personal information.  Our partners are likewise located in the United States. Kuusakoski is committed to protecting the security of your personal information.  We take commercially reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure that your information is not lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.  We limit access to your personal information to only those employees, agents, personnel, and partners having a legitimate reason to access in order to provide our products and services. 

No data storage, and certainly no data transmission over the Internet, can be 100% secure.  Thus, while we strive to protect your personal information against unauthorized access and disclosure, we do not warrant or guarantee the security of any personal information you transmit to, from or through our Site.  If we become aware of any unauthorized access to your personal information stored by or for us, we will notify you in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

If you no longer want to receive promotional text messages from us, please follow the cancellation instructions contained in the last text message.
